Nikki Oesterle is a Whanganui-based figurative surrealist painter whose work explores women in motion. Her current body of work captures moments of suspension, leaps, dives and twists, balancing energy with stillness. Through layered colour, bold gesture and surreal shifts in perspective, she investigates resilience, vulnerability and transformation. Nikki’s paintings invite viewers to enter imagined states where the human form becomes a vessel for story, emotion and change.
