By submitting your registration to participate in this event, you accept the requirements set in this Agreement of Event Participation by the Artists Open Studios Whanganui Trust.
Registration and Operation
1. Participating studios must be located within the Whanganui District, South Taranaki District – Waitotara (4587), Waverley (4510), Rangitikei District – Turakina (4581), as outlined in NZ Postcode zones. Participating artists must reside permanently in the areas outlined above. The AOS Trust may require proof of residency before approving event participation.
3. You agree that your studio will be open for both weekends of the event, 14-15 and 21-22 March 2026, between the hours of 10.00am – 4.00pm.
4. You agree to have artworks available for sale, adequately displayed, in a well presented and accessible studio.
5. You agree that Health and Safety is paramount for yourself and visitors to your studio and will manage this according to the information you provide in your Risk Analysis Management Systems Form (RAMS Form).
– RAMS Form, submitting this information is requirement of entry. The AOS Trust reserves the right to decline the registration of any studio which presents obvious hazards or risk to the public.
6. You agree to complete and submit the Incident Reporting Form when required.
7. You accept that no responsibility or liability of any kind for loss or damage to your studio, arising out of the conduct of the event attendees, shall attach to the Artist Open Studios Trust, event contractors or volunteers.
Publicity
8. You accept that images and/or video which may feature you and/or your studio either during or leading up to the event may be used for promotional/media purposes.
Submitting Content
9. Material submitted for publication must be of a high standard – the Event Coordinator and contracted designer Liquid Edge Creative reserve the right to reject or edit any design or image as necessary. Prohibited content includes but is not limited to; individual logos, election material, political notices, any content considered inappropriate, offensive or obscene.
Use of logo
10. Permission must be requested to utilise Artists Open Studios logo in any promotional material etc. created by studios/artists. Please email the content to Event Coordinator for approval.
Covid-19
11. In light of the recent Covid-19 pandemic which affected the way in which New Zealanders could participate in public events, the Board reserves the right to alter and/or amend the conditions of this contract in order to respond to changes in it’s legal obligations regarding the holding of Artist Open Studios 2026 (“the event”). The Board will use its best endeavors to ensure all participants in the event are notified of changes as soon as reasonably practicable
Cancellation
12. In the unfortunate circumstances that the Artists Open Studios event is cancelled, registered studios and artists for the event will not be refunded their registration fees.
