Take time out from visiting studios to sit in Pauline Allomes garden during the two weekends of Artist Open Studios. All proceeds go to ‘COAST CARE’ who do such amazing work replanting our dunes.

No big teaching session just a chance to head out from CiA on a walk that will offer a number of spots to take photographs. The 0.5m low tide is at 6:35pm and sunset at 7:38pm so those line up. We’re obviously dependant on a clear(ish) sky on the day.

A 6 hr practical workshop

Weave a kono or konae from harakeke, following tikanga.

Have fun playing with clay, learn to make coils (or use ones ready made) and make a honey pot, bowl, tumbler or sculpture using this technique.
