Welcome to a variety of paintings displayed at my home studio.

I love working with acrylics and water colour. I paint everything our beautiful county has to offer from early morning sunrise to the long shadows created at the end of the day. I also find joy in painting New Zealand birds and I have had a number of commissions to paint beloved pets, for these I rely on photos to capture their character.

When painting, I focus on capturing emotion or a particular quality of light to create the appropriate atmosphere or mood of the subject.
