Working across painting, pastels, printmaking, ceramics and digital media, my practice explores the human form caught between landscape, sensuality and spirit, embracing the beauty and vulnerability of the body—its pleasure, pain, suffering and mystery.
Influenced by both Buddhist philosophy and my Catholic heritage, I see humanity as a constant negotiation between animal instinct and spiritual longing. It is in this tension that I find my richest artistic territory.
Colour is my language: from muted ceramic surfaces and the blue-green rhythms of the moana to expressive pastel lines and luminous digital forms that evoke the immensity of the universe.
My influences are eclectic, spanning Bill Brandt, Munch, Schiele, Velázquez, Rubens, El Greco, Goya and, most enduringly, Georgia O’Keeffe.
For me, art is exploration, challenge and discovery—a way of making sense of the world while celebrating the sheer joy of being alive.
