Aberrant Patterns

Marco Maggioni is an artist and photographer who exhibited in London galleries before moving to New Zealand with his Kiwi partner in 2016. After retiring, he needed something to do as an antidote to boredom. With less access to equipment and materials, he turned to collage, using recycled cardboard and found objects. He sourced many of his materials from the refuse room in the apartment complex where they live in Auckland.

All of his work falls under the general series heading of Aberrant Patterns. He does not title individual works; everything comes under that series heading. His work is abstract, sometimes overpainting pieces with basic paint rather than leaving them as he finds them.
