The ZK-cif “Air Congo” Convair ex Air Chathams 1950’s airliner will be taking flight again for AOS2025 – this time with a Taco Tuesday!
This year you’re treated to photography from David (Liquid Edge) and James (Castlecliff NZ) PLUS Loulou Krebs is back with new paintings and Sherron (Koha Shed) with collectable treasures.
You can explore the aircraft itself and snap a selfie in the pilots seat (just ask our skeleton crew)

Tuesday sees Fatties Street food onsite with Whanganui’s most awesome tacos. Depending on demand they may be back on the other weekdays and/or maybe a taco evening in the plane – watch our events for updates!

Getting here. Head down Rangiora St (check out the plantings, public art, Vostinat Gallery) towards the sea. Turn right onto Seafront Road (with Skatepark and our giant mural/Basketball court on left), over the speedbumps and to the end of the road. Park either side of the road where the tarseal ends and walk in note there is NO car access or parking available onsite (exceptions may be able to be made Tues-Fri for folk with mobility issues – call ahead)
