If you’re wanting a reason to extend your weekend visit for Artist Open Studios, come join Sietske on Monday the 16th or Vanessa on Friday the 20th at Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery for a day of learning and making.
Vanessa Edwards will offer a one day practical workshop exploring her unique approach to mark making and storytelling through print processes that may include relief printing, intaglio and, or monoprint. Applicants will leave with a suite of handmade prints to enjoy. Edwards is a nationally recognised printmaker and founding member of Toi Whakaata Māori Print Collective. She is an educator and is passionate about the ability for print and art making to unlock creativity, knowledge and understanding ourselves and the world around us.
