In early 2023 the Whanganui community lost the much-loved and renowned glass artist, Lyndsay Patterson. Lyndsay’s family have chosen to honour his memory with the establishment of the Lyndsay Patterson Art Foundation, making available future scholarships for young artists.

Artist Open Studios are proud to host an auction of Lyndsay’s glass artwork. Proceeds from this auction will go towards these future scholarships.
Lyndsay graduated in 1999 with a BFA from the Wanganui Polytechnic. He was a founder and co-owner of the well-known Chronicle Glass Studio in Whanganui. A regular participant in Whanganui Artist Open Studios, and at the time of his passing he was member of the WAOS Trust Board, on which he had served faithfully since 2016.
