Learn to Coil Build with Clay

Bookings are essential

Have fun playing with clay, learn to make coils (or use ones ready made) and make a honey pot, bowl, tumbler or sculpture using this technique.

Coil building is a classic pottery skill which is used world wide to make anything from bowls to large sculptures. In this class you will have 2 hours to make your own creation. Fiona will show you the technique and guide through making your item. You can use coils she has made  using the extruder before the class or you can roll your own coils. (Coils are like worms of clay). A Honey pot with a bee handle is a cute project or making tumblers with thumb grooves are manageable and easy to make in the time frame.  Of course if you have a sculpture in your mind to make then there’s no reason not to create that with Fiona’s guidance.

All items will be glazed the colour you choose and be ready to collect about a month after the workshop.
