Toni returned to Whanganui 8 years ago with her husband and two boys. From a young age, Toni has created art and went on to study fine arts for 3 years after leaving high school.

Taking part in the 2020 Open Artist Studios has inspired her to prioritise her art-making again so she can start developing her work further.

Toni’s preferred medium is oil paint on canvas or board. She enjoys exploring the sculptural forms of flora and fauna which feature in many of her pieces.
Recently her subject matter has also come from a range of old vintage figurines and dolls, which she hopes will highlight their simplistic sculptural form and fun quirky nature.
