Glen completed a Master’s in Fine Arts, majoring in painting from Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland in 2003. He has had several solo exhibitions after working as a studio assistant to Max Gimblett. He has exhibited at the Lopdell House Gallery, Auckland, the NZ Academy of Fine Arts in Wellington and the Corner Window Gallery, Auckland, curated by Rob Garrett and recently, The Poi Room in Auckland.
He has been a finalist in the Parkin Drawing Prize in 2024, the National Contemporary Art Awards in 2022, the Molly Morpeth Canaday Award in 2019, the Wallace Art Awards and the Walker and Hall Waiheke Art Award. He was awarded a merit award in the Whanganui Arts Review in 2015 and the NZ Painting and Printmaking Awards in 2005.
Glen’s work is held in public and private collections including the Te Whare O Rehua Sarjeant Gallery, Whanganui, The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington, The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs – New Zealand Embassy in Beijing and the Wallace Arts Trust.
