Glen Hayward has been described as one of the most significant artists of his generation working in New Zealand. His work is held in significant collections both here in Aotearoa and overseas. Hayward has exhibited in New York, Europe, Hong Kong and has a strong presence in Australia. The influence of his practice is starting to become apparent in the new generation of artists working in the conceptually driven object making world. In a naive rapprochement with the world he concurs with the aphorism that it is art that makes life better than art.
