The ZK-cif “Air Congo” Convair ex Air Chathams 1950’s airliner will be taking flight again for AOS2026!
This year we feature the glass art of Rhys John Carr as well as James Barron’s photographs in the fuselage.
Sherron (Koha Shed) is back with collectable treasures in the “control tower”
You can explore the aircraft itself and snap a selfie in the pilots seat (just ask our skeleton crew)
Extra special this year is Outdoor Cinema with an aviation theme…
8pm Sunday 15th “Snakes in a Plane” (tickets available Sat 14th & Sun 15th at CiA)
8pm Sunday 22nd “Con Air” (tickets available Sat 21st & Sun 22nd at CiA)
BYO drinks and dinner or online order from The Citadel by 7:50 for delivery during the movie at 8:30
Screenings may be cancelled if wet or windy

Getting here. Head down Rangiora St (check out the plantings, public art, Vostinar Gallery) towards the sea. Turn right onto Seafront Road (with Skatepark and our giant mural/Basketball court on left), over the speedbumps and to the end of the road. Park either side of the road where the tarseal ends and walk in note there is NO car access or parking available onsite
