Te Ao Hou Marae
E hoa mā, Te Ao Hou Marae welcomes you at Artist Open Studios 2025!
In 2024, we opened our whare for the first time as part of AOS, and the response was incredible. Visitors were captivated by demonstrations of rarangi, whakairo and traditional painting techniques.
This year, we invite you back to witness the artistry firsthand. Our skilled kairaranga and tohunga whakairo will be happy to share their knowledge and passion for these time-honored traditions.
Whānau can enjoy interactive experiences like learning simple weaving patterns or witnessing the creation of intricate carvings. We also have a beautiful display of contemporary paintings, reflecting the enduring spirit of Māori art.
