Moa Belkouadssi

Moa creates his handmade encaustic Cement Tiles with classic or custom made designs, to be used on floors or walls, indoors and outdoors.
Moabell Design was founded in 2014 by, Moroccan born, Mohamed (Moa) Belkouadssi.
The technique of hydraulic (also known as encaustic or cement) tiles, was established in the second half of the nineteenth century, in the south of France, with the discovery of portland cement and the appearance of the hydraulic press. They are made from natural pigments, marble powder, sand & portland cement by hydraulic pressing machine.
The process is 100% eco-friendly and a pure art. Each tile is lovingly made one by one, by hand, and each one is different to its ancestor.
