Catherine graduated from the Whanganui School of Fine Arts, with a major in Photography, in 1998.
She mainly uses photography as the foundation for her layered artworks, incorporating digital, traditional and alternative processes.
Her bodies of work often exploring themes of the contrasts of old & new, identity and everyday life.
Her work gained a Merit award at the Patillo Whanganui Arts Review in 2019. She has work in both private collections and in Te Whare O Rehua Sarjeant Gallery, Whanganui.
This year, her work primarily features raw photographs from a recent trip to Morocco and playful collages, capturing the layers in the region.
