Award winning painter Matt Dutton trained in the 1980s under legendary teacher Bill Clarke in the UK.
He has lived & worked in Whanganui since 1991, taking inspiration from the local landscape & culture.
He is represented in various national and international private collections, and the permanent collection of Te Whare O Rehua The Sarjeant Gallery.
For the 2025 Open Studios, Matt's work can be seen at Renata's Art & Framing, and he has an exhibition of new work on display at A Gallery, 85 Glasgow St. Whanganui (Studio 32 in the guide) until 30th March.
