Sandra Brumby, originally from Gore and Invercargill enjoys working with acrylics, oils and watercolours. A self-employed florist for 33 years, she found that she needed another artistic outlet to help enjoy her retirement. Gravitating towards painting and encouraged by her artist mother, she has become an inspired, committed and enthusiastic artist.
Enjoying the fine weather and lifestyle that Wanganui offers and in the company of like-minded artists in the Awa Room at the Community Arts Centre, Sandra paints every week. She was a participant in the Whanganui Collective 2016 where artists were invited to present work; she has been a contributor to The Waimarino Art Awards, Raetihi in 2017, 2018, 2019, has exhibited at the Manawatu Art Expo and been an invited artist for yearly exhibitions by Ewen Stratford as well as exhibitions at the Yellow House Cafe, Whanganui.
