After living in Whanganui Central for more than a year now, I find my art practice has shifted to reflect the influence of living in a small city on a big river.
These paintings are more concerned with an architecture that both intrudes upon the natural view and is complimentary with it.
Birds are still evident in the works and are at home in both. (A Kereru sits on a powerline up the street this morning).
