Lesa Hepburn is a botanical fibre artist focusing on sustainable arts practice, working with available plant materials, recycled materials and low impact processes. Hepburn currently lives in Whanganui, New Zealand/Aotearoa.
Hepburn is focused on learning more about local plants, fibres and her environment to ensure her practice remains sustainable and culturally respectful. Hepburn was born and spent much of her childhood in Malaysia and has been a practising professional artist in Australia and New Zealand. Hepburn is a multi-disciplinary artist producing two and three dimensional works, installations, prints, and small edition multiples. Hepburn was the winner of the 2020 Southland Art Awards and selected in the 2021 Pattillo Whanganui Arts Review.Mediums: Mixed media materials
