Fiona Goulding

Born in England and inspired by voluntary work undertaken in Africa, Fiona spent several years backpacking solo through India, Nepal and the Pacific. It was the sheer beauty and variety of the New Zealand landscape that drew her to making this country her home.
Fiona is entirely self-taught and it is easy to see why her work is often described as exquisite. Her love of New Zealand inspires her oil paintings of landscapes, birds and animals. Her dedication to promoting a kinder world is evident in her focus on wildlife art, conservation and animal welfare. Every painting she creates comes from the deep connection she feels with nature and those who have no voice. She is the only New Zealand member of the world’s leading artist group supporting the environment - ‘Artists for Conservation’.
Fiona has won awards nationally and internationally, most recently the International Palm Art Awards 2018. Her work has been exhibited and collected in New Zealand and overseas and has been featured in publications both online and in print.
Fiona is currently working on writing and illustrating a children’s sophisticated picture book aimed at encouraging compassion and empathy towards animals.
