I use recycled or 'scrape wood that would have ended up in the landfill or otherwise burnt as firewood. I find myself pushing my ability to create a range of forms and shapes to stimulate the interest and enjoyment of others. I enjoy the challenge of designing and assembling complex vessel shapes.

Segmented woodturning in its simplest form involves glueing two or more pieces of wood together, and then turning a vessel from the glued block. The resulting vessel can be vertically any shape and size and often include decorative elements, feature rings and details that are just not possible with solid wood,
My goal is to create works that are beautiful to look at, and beg the question "HOW DID HE DO THAT ?"
